Senior year is the most important, stressful, scary but most importantly fun year of high school. The year before you officially enter the “real” or adult world which is nerve racking to most seniors. I asked Matthew Tin how he felt about senior year so far and he said, “I feel pretty confident and I feel that teachers will help teach me new things this year but I feel stressed about what is coming.” I asked Matthew what he is looking forward to his senior year and he said,  “I am looking forward to almost all senior activities and walking on stage.”

Something to always keep in mind is to not catch what they call “senioritis.” The term Senioritis is basically when seniors start getting lazy with their work because it’s the end of the year already summer is starting and they have gotten their acceptance letters so they think they don’t need to do anything anymore. What most seniors aren’t aware of is how you need to keep up with grades till the very end to keep that acceptance letter because colleges can take the acceptance away from you if they see your grades are dropping instead of increasing.

I asked matthew about some of his fears he has of being a senior Matthew said, I am scared of failing and not being able to walk on stage with my peers.” I then asked matthew If he had a back up plan if he doesn’t continue with his education. Matthew said, No I don’t have a plan if I don’t succeed in college cause i’m only focused on doing well and education is my only path of hope to get out of my situation.” For most teens education is the only way out of any problems, It really is the smarter way out of it instead
