Graduation is just a couple of months away. Luzma Tavera and Itali Velez seeked opinions from their peers about the different arrangements of graduation, performances during the graduation ceremony and the different decorative caps.

With graduation around the corner many seniors start to think of the day that marks their future. Graduation like many events is one to remember but many wish to make their graduation aesthetically pleasing. Our seniors opinions matter and we went in search of some answers. We went in search of various cap designs along with unique ceremony decorations. In attempt in making our senior graduation memorable and unique we all came up with the idea of adding a photobooth so our senior class has at least a backdrop to take pictures on. Due to lack of an area to take nice pictures the addition of the backdrop will allow students to have the opportunity to take pictures infront an aesthetic backdrop.

We decided that leaving the chair arrangements the way they have always been set up is the way to go since our graduation location is a pretty reduced area. A fellow peer Samara Alexander, shares that “the way to go is to put simple but elegant decorations.” Hearing our peer Samara out we had the idea of incorporating more flowers on the stage where all the school faculty is sitting. As you can tell on the first picture of the slideshow there isn't enough flowers to make it less plain. We want to pay for our graduation on a budget therefore we don't need to have big bouquets of flowers but small ones can make a big difference as seen in the picture to the right. If money comes to be the issue for us there are many things we could do to fundraise money for all extra decorations. A slightly new idea was suggested, which was handing out a flower to each student once they receive their diploma. That flower can later be given to the parent or anyone they wish.

As far as the speeches go, we have decided to keep them the same and allow the class president, valedictorian, and so on.. We also encourage someone to sing the national anthem before the ceremony begins (preferably both a male and female). For our caps we have decided to encourage our fellow seniors to decorate them with anything that might have motivated them throughout their years in highschool, or if not with anything that might represent them best. We look forward to a memorable and unique graduation ceremony this year and are open to any further suggestions!
